Therapeutic Warming Drink for Winter

Get relief from the cold of winter with this comforting drink. You can make a double batch and store in a mason jar in the fridge for two to three days. almond-milk-drink


2 cups almond milk

1½ -inch slice fresh ginger

1½ -inch slice fresh turmeric

1 vanilla bean

honey to taste


Place the milk, ginger, turmeric and vanilla bean in a pot; bring to a boil. Stir with a whisk as needed.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

Strain through a fine mesh sieve or piece of cheesecloth into a serving pot or large carafe.

Add honey to taste. Serve hot.
